(above is a photo of Betty and I at the B&B in Torronto)
hey guys,
boy do i have a fun story. I wont go tooo into it but just to let ya all know whats up with me...I am in montreal canada :)
We arived a few days ago at our bed and breakfast in torronto ontario at 1 30 am to find that the lights to the B&B were completly off. We knocked on the door for about a half hour. No answere. So i saw a light on across the street and knocked on the door there. This dude came to the door half awake and turns out he didnt even know that betty(the b&b owner) had a BandB.... Anyways, he wasnt much help at all. So i walked back across to the the house and we decided to walk around the house and see if we could see anyone from one of the windows in the back. We stacked a few lawn chairs ontop of each other until i could tip toe over the window seal into the back room.
Well, i saw the lap on with a shirt laid out on the mattress and a bible sitting half open like someone was just in there reading... Well, we were starting to worry that maybe this betty lady had a heart attack... ( after all she is 84 years old).... So we walked back around to the front where her car was nestled in the driveway and we decided to call the police!! ya i know...crazy huh.
So the whole stinken torronto police department showed up along with the ambulance ..... why so many police??? I have no idea but we explained to them how she was expecting us and we had just talked to her and how she is an old lady and that we were concered that she might have had a stroke or something!!!
So, the fire department broke down the door!!! (I know huh). My first thought to all this was "o'shit, what if there is no one in there, and we broke down the door for nothing. But then i started to think that we were doing the right thing....but then there is this poor lady somewhere who has to now replace her door with a new one.... O shit!"
by the time they came out of the house and realized she wasnt in there they called her son to see if he knew what was going on.... the son apoligized and said he understood and was so sorry that his mother must have just forgotten us cause she stayed at her daughters house about an hour away!
needless to say we finally got to sleepat 4am!!! The son insisted that we stay in the broken down house for the night and that his mother would be by in the morning!
:)))))(((((:
the lady turned out to be one of the sweetest ladies ever...she apoligized profussly! And we told her that we completely understood and to please stop feeling sorry about it :)
That morning we rushed out to the metro and hoped on the grey hound to catch a ride to niagra falls... our tour bus left at 1 pm...we didnt show up till 1 30pm... Betty insisted that it would only take 15 minutes to the grey hound.....um, thus we showed up late and sweaty. The hound attendants were so kind as to put us on a regular bus and send us to niagra falls to catch up with the other tour bus that we were supost to be on to begin with... *sigh*
I must say that standing on the deck of that boat out in the cathedral of the falls was worth the pre trauma of it all :))) The whole "maid of the mist" boat was laughing and screaming as the water from the falls just crashed down on our heads!!! it was so much fun :) one of the greatest experiences ever..
K so i said i would try to keep this short. sowrry 'bout that(as the canads would say). I guess there was more then i thought ...
so we are here in montreal with the frenches, staying at another b&b...this time the lady was actually here to meet us :))) thank god
alright. hope you all are doing well.
love,
jolie
